First time at Latus Spa: which treatment is right for you?

On a first visit to a spa, many people feel a little lost in front of a long treatment menu: a body massage or a neck and shoulder massage? 60 or 90 minutes? And what's the difference between a Traditional Medicine Head Spa and a Wellness Head Spa? This guide brings together the treatments at Latus and suggests how to choose based on how your body feels and how much time you have, so your first visit is truly worthwhile.
Start with one question: what does your body need today?
| If you're feeling… | Suggested treatment |
|---|---|
| A stiff neck and shoulders from long hours at a computer | Head, Neck and Shoulder Essential Oil Massage (30–60 min) |
| Aches all over after a stressful week | Essential Oil Body Massage, with or without hot stones (60–90 min) |
| You want firm pressure focused on sore spots | Traditional Medicine Body Massage (60–90 min) |
| Heavy, tired legs from standing or walking a lot | Essential Oil Foot Massage (30–60 min) |
| A heavy head, poor sleep, a mind on "overload" | Wellness Head Spa (85 min) |
| Dry, dull or blemish-prone skin | A facial matched to your skin's condition |
| Pregnant, with backache or swollen feet | Prenatal care treatments |
Still not sure? Just tell our receptionist where your body is "speaking up" — your therapist will suggest the right treatment and pressure before you begin.
Massage – the most popular choice for a first visit
Massage is the easiest way to get to know a spa. Latus offers three main styles:
- Essential Oil Body Massage — gentle full-body relaxation that suits almost everyone.
- Essential Oil Body Massage with Hot Stones — the warmth of the stones helps muscles soften faster; a good choice if your hands and feet often feel cold or you've been living with aches for a while.
- Traditional Medicine Body Massage — acupressure on key points along the meridians, with firmer pressure, for anyone who loves a deep, satisfying massage.
Busy, with only about 30 minutes to spare? A head, neck & shoulder massage or a foot massage is a quick yet effective option. The 15-minute treatments can be added to any service when you'd like extra attention on one area.
60 or 90 minutes? 60 minutes is enough for a relaxing full-body session. Choose 90 or 120 minutes if you have sore or tired areas that need more time.

Herbal head spa – time to switch off

If you have a mentally demanding job, often feel stressed or struggle to sleep, the herbal head spa — gội đầu dưỡng sinh, the Vietnamese ritual of washing and massaging the scalp with herbal water — is well worth trying. Unlike a regular hair wash, most of the time is spent on gentle pressure on the scalp, neck and shoulders, with warm herbal water.
- Traditional Medicine Head Spa (45 min) — quick and easy when you're short on time.
- Wellness Head Spa (85 min) — the full treatment, deeply relaxing from your scalp to your neck and shoulders.
- Hair Wash, Facial Care and Face Mask (60 min) — relaxation and skincare in one, for busy people.
You can add a Herbal Foot Soak or a Sauna to warm up your body. Find out more on our herbal head spa page.
Facials and body care
Your skin needs a rest too, just like your body. Latus groups its facials by skin condition:
- Dry, dull skin → Hydrating Skincare.
- Oily skin with excess sebum and blackheads → Skincare, Sebum Extraction and Comedone Care.
- Inflamed or under-the-skin breakouts → Basic Acne Care or Advanced Acne Care.
- Uneven skin tone → Pumpkin Peel or Brightening Peel.
- Tired skin in need of a "reset" → Healing Detox.
Your therapist will analyse your skin and advise you before starting, so there's no need to guess your skin type. Find the details on our facials page.
For the body, a full-body exfoliation before an Essential Oil Body Massage leaves your skin smoother and helps it absorb the oils better — see body care.
Especially for mums-to-be

Mums-to-be shouldn't book a regular massage. Latus has dedicated treatments: you lie on your side supported by pillows, with light pressure and gentle essential oils, avoiding areas that aren't suitable during pregnancy. Prenatal massage is generally recommended from the second trimester (around week 13) onwards. Please check with your doctor first, and tell us how many weeks pregnant you are when booking.
See the details on our prenatal care page.

- Let us know in advance if you are pregnant or have a heart condition, blood pressure problems, an injury or any inflamed skin.
- Tell your therapist the pressure you prefer, and don't hesitate to speak up if it feels too firm or too light.
